One of the ways Alpha CPS can help our customers reduce their impact on the environment is to help them manage their waste stream more effectively to reduce waste going to landfill. Each waste stream can be measured and compared to illustrate trends and prompt changes in behaviour to improve the facilities sustainability approach.

Alpha CPS can help clients to establish a Waste Management and Recycling Program that segregates waste into the following streams: paper & cardboard; commingled recycling – Aluminium, Glass and Plastic; perishable & food waste; general waste; and toner cartridges. Alpha CPS works closely with its clients to design special waste disposal stations and a colour coding system established to minimise cross contamination. This process provides clients with environmental and reporting benefits.

Some of the initiatives we have helped introduce are:

Organic waste bins for food waste. These can facilitate downstream processing in on premises work farms to provide nutrients for plants and gardens.
Paper and cardboard bins to separate from plastic and metal recyclable waste.
Desktop bins for paper disposal into consolidated 240L central waste bins. This offers employees the opportunity to easily participate in recycling programs.
Toolbox training held with client representatives, implementing changes to recycling and colour coding of bins managing the waste stream.
Staff are fully trained and issued wok instructions based on specifications.
Our staff are fully supported by supervisors to achieve desired outcomes.
Staff have a distinctive uniform, photo ID, and our custom AOS app to enable communication and protect the safety of staff working alone.
All staff hold a current Working with Children Check, Police check and are fully double vaccinated.
